old friends

Does anyone out there have a really old friend? I don't mean like an eighty year old (unless of course you are eighty) or something like that. I mean like a friend that you have known most of your life. I have such a friend. In fact, I have a few. But there is a difference between a friend that you have known all your life and one you have liked all your life. One you continue to choose to be friends with. One whose path seems so similar to your own. Or if not, that you just GET one another.
